Just because a tree is planted doesn’t mean the work is over! Providing care and maintenance for young trees is critical to helping them survive and thrive. This crucial work happens year-round, from watering, to weeding and mulching, to pruning.
Tree Pittsburgh works with young trees and as they mature, the responsibility for maintenance transitions to partners, municipalities, or landowners.
We’ve planted thousands of trees across Allegheny, and we couldn’t provide this crucial care for them without volunteers!
