Tree Pittsburgh’s flagship urban forestry and tree care course is offered multiple times a year. The Tree Tenders Course covers urban forestry practices, tree biology and health, proper planting, pruning, and maintenance, and instruction on how lead your community in organizing tree plantings and tree care events.
Become a Tree Tender
Courses cost $40 which includes materials, light food and instruction. Scholarships are available. Contact Maeve@treepittsburgh.org or call 412/781‑8733 for more information.
Due to the nature of this course, we prefer Tree Tenders be at least 16 years of age. If you have any special needs, please inquire and we can provide for them.
