Once known as the “Jurassic Valley”, due to its acres of invasive vines, South Side Park is slowly transforming into a phenomenal case study in urban forest restoration thanks to the leadership of Friends of South Side Park!

Please join Tree Pittsburgh, the Carnegie International Students Institute, and the Friends of South Side Park as we plant 50 more trees into this transformational project. We’ll be planting trees on a fairly rugged hillside above South Side Park’s Sterling Connector Trail.
