What is an arboretum? A living museum of trees and shrubs. A varied collection of carefully tended woody plants. A place of learning, connection, and inspiration. Tree Pittsburgh’s riverside campus has just been recognized as such a place. Come celebrate and meet our arboretum trees. Be a tree detective. Enjoy hands-on activities – from seed-starting to mulch-making, sign-painting to tree-sizing – and behind-the scenes access to our living museum.

Drop in with your little ones (saplings!) and visit our activity stations at your own pace. Best for K-5, though all are welcome. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

This FREE event is part of Remake Learning Days, a Pittsburgh-born learning festival packed with fun programs. Registration, while not essential, helps us plan.

Please note – Tree Pittsburgh will be holding a Tree Adoption event at our campus at the same time as our family program. Please note that a separate registration is required for trees.
