Pruning Workshop: Verona
Don’t worry — we won’t prune in the cold 🙂
Practice your pruning skills with Tree Pittsburgh! Pruning young trees is one of the most important actions you can take to help them thrive in the built environment. Whether in your backyard, on your front sidewalk, or in your neighborhood park, shaping young trees through proper pruning practices will help them grow healthy and strong, and prevent potential problems in the future.
Please note: Only official Tree Tenders may register for Pruning Workshops. Our next Tree Tenders Course is Saturday, August 26th. Click this link to register!
During this Pruning Workshop we will cover important lessons such as:
- Evaluating a tree’s natural form and enhancing it through pruning
- Determining the proper cuts using the 3 Ds: Dead, Damaged, and Diseased
- Making the cut: Removing branches safely while doing the least possible harm to the tree
Pruning is an art and a science, and it can often be challenging at first. But practice makes perfect! Join Tree Pittsburgh’s ISA Certified Arborists to sharpen your skills!
This event will take place in Verona. Exact meeting location will be provided following registration. For questions regarding this event, email jamie@treepittsburgh.org or call (412) 781-TREE (8733) x203.
