PLEASE CLICK HERE TO REGISTER if you plan to attend this event.
On Saturday, October 27, please join Tree Pittsburgh and the Pine Creek Land Conservation Trust for a tree planting along Crouse Run in Allison Park!
Tree Pittsburgh, a member of Alliance for Community Trees, has partnered with the Pine Creek Land Conservation Trust for this event to help continue the progress that has been made on improving the riparian buffer zone along Crouse Run, an important tributary of Pine Creek.
Thanks to funding made possible by partnership with CSX Transportation, 95 new trees will be planted within the Crouse Run Nature Reserve during this event. Planting these trees will help with flood control, provide wildlife habitat, and compete with non-native invasive species that threaten to colonize the reserve, in addition to providing beauty for generations of hikers to come.
Parking: Travel to 2684 Wildwood Rd, Allison Park, PA 15101. Pull into the parking lot to the right of the Stak Shak and continue until you reach the entrance to another gravel parking lot on the right.
Date & Time: Saturday, October 27 from 9am-12pm
Volunteers should come prepared with boots/hiking shoes, long pants, and clothing appropriate for the weather that can get dirty.
Work gloves, tools, and all project materials will be provided.
