Tree Pittsburgh Summer Camp Week 1

This camp (June 17–21) is designed for students entering 7th grade in the fall of 2018.
Week 2 (June 24–28) of camp is designed for students entering 8th grade in the fall of 2019. You can register for that camp HERE.
Explore the urban forest, field, and river and discover the many benefits trees provide to our City. Tour the Tree Pittsburgh Heritage Nursery and discover the fascinating life of trees. Each day will focus on a different theme including tree identification, journaling, insects, tree planting, tree biology, tree care, reforestation techniques, art and more. Meet staff arborists and discover how you can make a difference in the urban forest through hands on lessons and field techniques. The week concludes with a field trip to explore a forest outside of the City in the Laurel Highlands (transportation provided).
Campers are required to bring a lunch each day but Tree Pittsburgh will provide healthy snacks as well.
Camp begins at 9am and ends at 3pm each day. Parents and guardians may drop off no earlier than 8:30am and pick up no later than 3:30pm.
Camp Location: Campers will meet at the newly built 5-acre Tree Pittsburgh Campus and Nursery located in Upper Lawrenceville (under the 62nd Street Bridge) 32 62nd Street, Pittsburgh PA, 15201
